We added Plato and several of his full and half sisters to our herd in the summer of 2005. Few lines demonstrate so fully the true South African breed-character they possess. I particularly appreciate his powerful, masculine front end as well as his beautiful, breedy head with round horns. He is stout with great spring of ribs and long in the loin. Correct teats and fully pigmented, he is truly stud material.

His sisters also possess these characteristics and have been out-crossed to our buck Prototype. His son, Sugarfield Old 100 (out of Electra) won National Champion honours in 2007. Central Alberta Plato has had a prolific year at the shows in 2006. He was Champion buck in St. Hyacinthe Qc, as well as at the Canadian Caprine Classic in London. Plato's sire Poundmaker, has produced numerous champion animals across the country this year, including the 2006 Supreme Champion Buck. It should be noted that a full sister of Plato, Central Alberta Reena was the Champion Doe as well as supreme champion boer exhibit at the Canadian Caprine Classic. The junior champion purebred doe and reserve champion overall Sugarfield Sable is one of his daughters.
